Electric Umbrella X Welcome Break Piano’s
As part of a partnership between Electric Umbrella and Welcome Break service stations, I designed the decals for a series of branded yellow pianos placed in service stations across the UK. Each piano was second-hand and donated to the Instruments for Change project, where they were refurbished, painted bright yellow, and decorated with decals alongside learning-disabled members of Electric Umbrella.
I carefully planned the placement of each decal, creating unique designs tailored to the individual pianos based on their structure and available space for decoration. The decals featured Electric Umbrella’s branding, including slogans like “No Such Thing As Normal,” which reflect the charity’s ethos of celebrating individuality and creativity. These pianos served as interactive installations, inviting people to play music and engage with Electric Umbrella’s mission while raising awareness for Electric Umbrella and Instruments for Change.
This project highlights my ability to combine design with hands-on collaboration, creating impactful visuals that align with both branding goals and community engagement.
